Q&A with Keri Paur, Owner of Hearing Science of the Foothills

What have you learned from previous CQ Partners events?

I will always remember one presentation on why it’s important to identify your personal “why” and how that connects to the practice and helping patients. I had never thought about our practice in those terms. It stuck out to me. Even back when I was part of the front office, it was important to have that motivation. I remember going to these meetings and looking up to other providers and what they did. I wanted to strive to be like them, and we learned from each other with the help of CQ Partners like you helped us build and grow.

Why do you think it’s important to bring your whole team?

I feel like it’s a great place for us to learn. Everybody learns different things because we’re all on different tracks. When we all get back together everybody’s excited, everybody wants to share, everybody wants to communicate, and everybody’s on the same page. It just brings a whole new environment to our office.

What are you looking forward to most about Reconnect ’22?

I’m just excited that we are going to be back this year! I feel like in the past when we didn’t have it, I missed the motivation that I get from it. It’s going to be exciting to see everybody again and learn.

What would you say to someone who is unsure about attending Reconnect ’22?

I encourage you to go. It’s the best for you and your practice to go, learn more, and enjoy the experience. If you have gone before, you wouldn’t be unsure because you see the value in it once you’re able to go! I don’t think there’s ever been a CQ event where I haven’t taken back a handful (or two handfuls) of knowledge. There are always things I want to bring back and work on. I have learned every time I’ve gone.

What advice would you give to first-timers who have never attended a CQ event before? How can they make the most out of their experience?

Just come experience it with an open mind and bring somebody with you. There is so much to remember. Get together with your team after to compare notes and talk about what you want to implement. You will learn every step of the way.
